There are a lot of blogs out there. Will this one be ground-breaking? Will it shape the way we look at blogging, and as a result, the internet?
Nope. It won’t.
To say it will be ground-breaking, soul-moving, or revolutionary would be setting expectations too high. The purpose of this blog is far more humble. I’m looking for a place to write, to share my struggles in writing. I’m looking for a place to share my thoughts on topics like tabletop gaming, books I’ve read, and why the word ‘identity’ is so near and dear to my heart. I want it to be a place where I can be open in hopes that my honesty can help someone else that might be struggling.
Finally, I want this to be a community of sharing. I plan to ask friends to write pieces, from poems to plugs for podcasts they have. I want to promote the works of others, to highlight good work when I see it.
The goal is to post weekly, potentially ramping that up in the future. I need that schedule to keep me moving forward, to draw me from complacency. So I’m committing, here and now, to post a minimum of once per week. The internet gods have heard me and will hold me forever accountable.
No social media plugs here. Just a WordPress blog in its infancy. Hope to see you again in a week!
